Sweetcorn

Sweetcorn is a variety of corn with a high sugar content.
Unlike field corn varieties, which are harvested when the kernels are dry and mature (dent stage), sweetcorn is picked when immature (milk stage) and prepared and eaten as a vegetable, rather than a grain.

Sweet corn is a traditional summer food served around the world, and are grown on every continent except Antarctica.
