Oranges & Grapefruits

Orange: Being situated on a citrus farm, we have access the the finest quality oranges in the country.

Oranges account for up to 70% of the worlds citrus production, and in South Africa it is one of our firm favourites - whether as a fruit, or a freshly squeezed juice.

The orange fruit varies in sizes, and a healthy fruit should fill your palm. When you peel the rind off the fruit, you will notice segments of the orange similar to garlic gloves but they are big and juicy. Orange fruit is rich in Vitamin C, and has several antioxidant properties. It is extremely good for increasing the resistance in the body.

Grapefruit: The grapefruit is a subtropical citrus tree known for its sour to semi-sweet fruit. The fruit is yellow-orange skinned and largely an oblate spheroid; it ranges in diameter from 10–15 cm. The flesh is segmented and acidic, varying in color depending on the cultivars, which include white, pink and red pulps of varying sweetness (generally, the redder varieties are sweeter).
Grapfruit is a great source of Vit. C and folic-acid. Grapefruit is extremely good for the heart and arteries as well as for the body's muscles. It balances cholesterol and prevents fatty cells from collecting in the body, allowing the metabolism to work more effectively.
